Location.The London House Hotel is a traditional townhouse property located in a residential area, just 100 metres from Hyde Park and 1.5 miles from busy Oxford Street. London Heathrow Airport is 15 miles away, and takes approximately 55 minutes to reach by car.

Hotel Features.Guests can start the day with a continental breakfast, surf the web, and relax in front of the television in the hotel lounge. Further amenities include laundry facilities, and a microwave oven in the breakfast room.

Guestrooms.The 90 guestrooms, over six floors, feature simple, modern decor with raffia blinds or patterned curtains and include wardrobes. Private or shared bathrooms are available.

Expert Tip.Notting Hill Gate, located one mile from the hostel, is one of London's trendiest districts. Bars and restaurants throng the area, which is also home to Portobello Market, filled with antiques and clothes stalls.

Renovation Notice:

The hotel will be refurbishing all of its guestrooms between the end of 2007 and the end of 2008. The majority of work will be restricted to within the rooms, and noise will be limited to between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM. Please get in contact with the hotel for further information.

Getting there.The Heathrow Express train service to London Paddington Station leaves every 15 minutes. From Paddington, take the tube for one stop to Bayswater on the District and Circle lines and alight for the hotel. An airport shuttle also runs to Bayswater and London's black taxi cabs also service Heathrow Airport, costing around 50 GBP to central London. The easiest way to get around London is by using the Underground (metro) or bus services. Alternatively, black taxi cabs can be hailed in the street.
